The Government Authorized Order Number (GAON) is a number that proves to the company that you have verified yourself as the proper authority to order services. Since everyone knows anyone else’s NIN number, this number can not be used. And since the GIN is secret, this number must never be given out except to the government. The GAON is a step to provide authenticity, and validation. Not just anyone can use the GAON as it is tied to the person’s NIN. Therefore, John can’t use Frank’s GAON to open an account. John must create his own GAON even if the company is the same. The GAON is a unique number that ties with the company, and the applicant’s NIN.
To acquire a GAON, one will go to the login page of the Kaldan Government, and login with their credentials. If the password manager is not recognizing the site the person is trying to log into, they will need to check the URL to make sure it is the correct URL. If this is the first time they are using the particular device, they must provide an authentication number from their authenticator app. This is a security feature, and they can select to remember the device. The web login is simple, and will be located at https://gov.ka/login.
Once login, they will go to Acquire GAON tab. They will provide the Business ID Number which is similar to a person’s NIN number. They will select to activate an account, and press submit. The system will generate a 1 time number which is good for 30 days. The applicant will then use the GAON number along with their NIN. If they don’t have a scanned copy of their ID card, they will want to download the .png file to upload if they are using the company’s website to acquire services. Once they use the GAON number, they can not use it again.
If they are going to a store, they will bring the GAON number, and their ID to the store for activating services. The NIN must match with the GAON that is provided. If not, the customer will not be able to setup an account. This is why it is important to have a NIN number when setting up a GAON.
