Education will be STEM focused to allow the student to compete on the world stage when they graduate. Other learning will be additional languages, martial arts, and trades – all designed to focus on the student. Every student will receive a starter kit when they enter the school as a part of their tuition. In higher education, they will also receive any tools they will need to fulfill the job they will eventually enter into. Like many industrialized countries, there will be 12 years of education for primary school, however schooling will be all year round, and will have a minimal number of breaks. The children will start the new school year on January 2, or the first weekday of the month after the 1st.
For children that are developmentally challenged, they will not be able to keep up with their classmates, so they will enter into special education will be focused on personal well-being, and integration into society. They will learn basic math, how to do personal finance, and basic work skills based on the level of ability the student can do. They will receive the same starter kit that all students receive, and will be taught how to use everything. This will allow them to grow as normal children even though they are developmentally challenged.
Trade schools are under the watch of the Ministry of Education, but with exception of regulation, they are able to do anything they will need to do to provide for qualified graduating students. Trades will include computer programmers, electricians, mechanics, and so on. The student will be in school anywhere from 9 months – 36 months depending on the trade they wish to pursue. Low income students can apply to have their tuition covered to get the student, and any future family up and out of poverty.
Kaldus University is the only non-trade school of higher education. There will be no other college, or university in Kaldus. Kaldus University will be located in the same county as Capita City. This will mean the student will have to travel to Capita City to go to Kaldus University. The reason for this choice is if there is only 1 doctor instructor, then that instructor can only be in one place at one time. Students wishing to be a doctor will have to travel to that county where the instructor is located at. By getting all of the instructors in one place, Kaldus University will be able to address all of the fields that they can provide. Since all of the instructors are at one university, it is the same thing. Students will have to go where the instructor is.
All students in grade school will receive a school package. This will consist of everything the student will need. When the student graduates grade 12, then they can enter trade or university where they will receive a new school package. If a course requires a more demanding computer, then that will be integrated into the price of the package. Unless circumstances suggest otherwise, they should focus on KCI’s computers to continue to use the industry standard Kal-OS. This is what the students are familiar with, and there is no reason to change that.
