IDs

Every country has an ID system. Kaldus will be no different. Anyone wishing to do business with an entity in Kaldus must acquire a GAON which requires a GIN, and NIN. All of this will be done in a manner that is reasonable, but secured. This applies to people not living in the nation. A business that receives a lot of foreign customers might consider having an office outside of Kaldus, but the idea is to not make things difficult, but to provide a fraud resistant system to keep bad actors from abusing the system.

The ID system is defined by NSC code, and with that said is much more regulated than what most identification systems are in other countries. For more information, one will go to NSC – Identification. However, the basics is everyone will have a GIN which is kept between the owner of the number, and government. There is also an NIN which is public, and there is no negative consequence in knowing someone else’s NIN. The NIN can not be used exclusively for identification. In addition to knowing the NIN, the ID card will go that extra step in verifying the identity of the person.

There will also be an ID card. This card will look much like any other ID card, but there will be no physical address on the card. This is because the ID card can be used as a key for access into any home that is NSC compliant. With that said, it will be stupid to require an address on the card if a thief stealing your ID will also be stealing the keys. This is the same reason you do not have your address on your home keys. If law enforcement needs to know where someone lives, their interface terminal will show the address just by using their card, or providing an NIN.
